Your first appointment
At a second opinion with ultrasound, we take the time for your story, your wishes and your questions. A physical examination follows, including the ultrasound. The scan needs no special preparation. A little gel is applied to the skin and the probe moves over the area being examined. In many cases you can watch on the screen and see what happens for yourself.
Duration and price
There are 2 ways to have an ultrasound examination.
- As a second opinion with ultrasound: a maximum of 120 minutes, including a physiotherapy intake, for €310,00 in total.
- After a referral by one of our team members who is currently treating you: a maximum of 60 minutes for €150,00.

Reimbursement
EBP Studio has no contracts with health insurers: you pay the invoice yourself and then claim it from your insurer. If you have supplementary health insurance for physiotherapy, you will usually get part of it back. Exactly how much depends on your policy.

Who supports you
Julian does all ultrasound examinations, except for the pelvic area: Querine does those.
Referral
You don't need a referral from your GP or specialist for the second opinion with ultrasound. An ultrasound examination on its own (a maximum of 60 minutes) is only possible after a referral by one of our team members.

What is ultrasound testing?
Ultrasound examination is a safe and pain-free way to gain insight into the condition of muscles, tendons, joints and other tissues.
Real-time images are made using sound waves, so that we can accurately assess whether there are inflammations, cracks or calcifications, for example.
How do we do ultrasound research at EBP Studio Amsterdam?
At EBP Studio, we use ultrasound as a valuable addition to our research and treatment process. It enables us to diagnose quickly and specifically, so that we can work with you to develop an effective treatment plan. In addition, ultrasound allows us to monitor the recovery process and adjust the treatment if necessary.
