Longevity

Grow as old as possible while staying as healthy as possible - better known as “longevity”.
Lifting your grandchildren at age 65, still be able to walk at 70 or still be able to get up from a chair easily at age 80.

Many factors play a role here, for example: genetics, the amount and regularity of sleep, diet and also a bit of luck.
Perhaps the most influential factor is movement. Exercise significantly reduces the risk of vascular disease (including atherosclerosis), various types of cancer, neurodegenerative disorders (including dementia) and metabolic disorders. In addition to reducing the risk of illness, exercise also has an enormous effect on mental well-being, which then leads to a higher quality of life.

Movement can be divided into three categories: strength training, cardio training, and the general daily amount of physical activity. The largest increase in health benefits is seen in people who primarily lead a sedentary lifestyle and move “slightly”. A good rule of thumb is: more is always better, as long as you can recover properly.
